After months spent in isolation at home, the National Portrait Gallery invites you to take a fresh and intimate focus on the places that define who we are - our Countries, workspaces, spiritual homes and habitats.
'This is my place' traverses from coast to coast via the rivers, streets, mountains, studios and sportsgrounds that tell our stories, exploring the place of 'place' in portraiture as well as the intricate interconnections between landscape, identity and the feeling of home.
'This is my place' features over one hundred works spanning 250 years and incorporates painting, photography, drawing, printmaking and sculpture.
