Fired Up 2021 presents a showcase of ceramic art events, activities and visitor experiences during an evening hosted by Canberra Potters at Watson Arts Centre. An evolution of our traditional Open Day this new event will engage audiences with a variety of demonstrations, hands on experiences, and maker engagement opportunities.
Against a night sky visitors can witness the magical alchemy of a Raku firing, the opening of a pit kiln to reveal the treasures within, meet the makers and purchase original ceramic ware from our emerging makers market and studio artists.
There will be live music, fire twirlers and a range of food and beverage vendors.
Come and explore the wonders of the ceramic art form and connection through clay.
This is a free event.
