Canoe Polo Summer Series #4
Overview
Come and spectate the final event of the Australian Canoe Polo circuit at Molonglo Reach. Witness national and developing players alike battle it out for the Division 1 and 2 titles, with players attending from across Australia.
Canoe Polo is an exciting, high-intensity kayaking discipline that combines paddling with the contact-sport nature of rugby and the ball skills of water polo and baseball. Expect to be wowed by the 'charge start', where each 10-minute half is commenced by a player from each team sprinting head-on to secure the ball first. Players can also push each other in, so watch out for some impressive kayak-rolling action!
The fields are along the Lake Burley Griffin circuit, so you can combine your visit with a weekend ride or walk, and parking is also available at the venue. There are public toilets available, and Molonglo Reach is close to the Majura Park shops and Kingston if you're looking to grab a bite afterward.
