PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY IN THE ACT

A Public Health Emergency has been declared in the ACT for the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. See the COVID-19 website for more information.

If you are running an event in Canberra, which has broad community appeal, then you may be eligible to list your event on this website for free.

This website uses the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) as the source of event listings. ATDW is a database for Australia’s tourism operators and event organisers to use to easily promote their business or events across numerous digital platforms.

Without an ATDW listing, your event cannot appear on this website.

Important information about virtual events

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the physical distancing regulations and limits on mass gatherings which are in place, Events ACT is currently allowing virtual events to be listed in ATDW and on this website.

Virtual events must meet the same eligibility criteria as physical events.

When listing a virtual event you must enter Virtual event as the venue name. This will ensure that the phyisical location and map doesn't display for the event.

On-demand content is not eligible to be listed in ATDW or on this website.

Steps for listing your event

There are four simple steps you will need to follow to list your event on this website:

  1. Determine if your event is eligible for listing

Read the Eligibility Criteria to ensure your event is eligible to be listed. Ineligible events will be rejected as part of the quality assurance process .

If you are unsure whether your event meets the eligibility requirements, please contact the Digital Database Coordinator at [email protected].

  2. Ensure that you have all the necessary information to list your event

Read the Listing Guidelines to ensure that you have all the necessary information to list your event.

The guidelines will also give you useful tips for ensuring your event listing is of a high quality.
  3. Register for an account on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse

If you do not already have an account on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) you will first need to register for access.

You only need to create an account once, then you can reuse it to list multiple events and to manage your existing event listings.
