Who we are
Events ACT is responsible for a vibrant and thriving calendar of events that offer something for everyone.
This includes:
Enlighten
Floriade and Floriade NightFest
Canberra Balloon Spectacular
Canberra Nara Candle Festival, and
major celebrations in our city such as New Years Eve and Canberra Day.
Volunteer opportunities
Our events do not happen without the help of an enthusiastic and dedicated team of volunteers.
A wide range of volunteer positions are available to suit a variety of skills and interests, including:
· set-up and pack down crew
· information assistants, and
· stage support and artist liaison.
Intern positions
Events ACT offers a small number of internship positions each year.
These volunteer positions are available to tertiary students completing studies in Event Managment, Tourism or a related field.
Internships are a great opportunity to work closely with the team from Events ACT, get hands-on professional experience and earn credit towards your course.
Interns typically join the team for 2-4 weeks in a part-time capacity.
Casual employment
Delivering major events takes a big team, and at these busy times we need casual staff to support our year-round events team.
Casual opportunities can include:
· Site crew
· Stage management
· Artist liaison and support
· Volunteer coordination
· Venue management
