Overview

These school holidays, join Canberra Youth Theatre for fun-filled drama workshops for young artists in school years 1–6.

A play in four days!
Step inside a space where tiny ideas can grow into extraordinary worlds and the smallest details can spark entire universes. Led by a professional theatre director, participants will be introduced to, and guided through the complete creative process – fostering essential skills and collaborative attitudes, whilst also learning the tenants of play building.

Across four dynamic days, young artists will work together to build an original short performance inspired by the way a theatrical play can emerge in the smallest of time frames. Creative, expansive, and full of unexpected turns, this workshop invites participants to see how they can be their own storytellers, directors, and favourite characters.
