Sensory Sunday
Overview
Sensory Sunday is a free monthly program for individuals who identify as neurodivergent including, but not limited to, those who experience Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Tourette Syndrome.
The program occurs during opening hours, and participation is supported with a Social Story, Sensory Map of the exhibition space and modification of noise and light levels where possible.
Sensory Sunday is an inclusive and creative opportunity to spend time engaging in relaxed conversation and participating in artmaking. A quiet space for individual activities is included. Noise-cancelling headphones are available.

This is a free event, however bookings are essential.
Dates
4 Feb – 1 Dec 2024- Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
- Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person.
