My series Through the Small Window is an introspective of both abstract expression and stylized still-life works. The interplay between the artists' outdoor experiences and the comforts of home creates a narrative inviting viewers to share Lesley's observations of daily life. Combining collage with techniques of layering and subtraction in oil and cold wax medium, suggests a depth and texture that reflects both the complexity of urban life and the nuances of personal perception.

The notion Lesley's small, framed works are seen as ‘windows’ is especially poignant; it emphasizes not only the act of observation but also the idea of framing one’s perspective. This duality—of looking inward while also observing the external world—creates a unique dialogue. One in which Lesley invites viewers to engage with their own perspectives and experiences.
