Overview

Unearth the deep past on a self-guided tour of the National Rock Garden, where some rocks are more than two billion years old! Touch fossils and reveal the past lives of giant clams, trilobites and corals, the inhabitants of tropical reefs that once grew in Canberra. Young explorers can follow the Treasure Map to uncover unique geological treasures (collect map from the Visitors Centre).

This event can be accessed by an assisted wheelchair. Paths are sealed, with a Grade 1 (slight) gradient. Please contact the Visitor Services Information desk to learn more.

This event is being run in collaboration with the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival and the National Rock Garden.
