Radiant

Overview
Canberra-based abstract artist Colleen Frances had her parents reaching for drop sheets when she first wielded a paintbrush aged six, and she has painted ever since.
Originally educated in oils, Colleen found her niche working in acrylic several years ago and now focuses on creating medium and large scale abstract works. A colourist with an emphasis on texture, Colleen's paintings have been described as "elegantly abstract" "refined", and "beautiful to live with".
Over and again, Colleen is drawn to capturing the light. Elusive and ever-changing, it transforms subjects in a moment. The quality of light is often what she remembers most about the places she visits, and the intersection of light and emotion is what she loves to put on canvas.
Capturing colour and light is what drives her to paint, and what compels her to keep her work evolving.
For 'Radiant', she was inspired by the strength and beauty found in strong colours and created a collection characterised by glowing light and warmth.
Each work is strikingly beautiful, bold yet refined and her hope is that each piece inspires and uplifts.
