Puppetry Masterclasses with Erth

Overview

Canberra Youth Theatre will welcome Scott Wright from internationally-renowned puppetry company Erth Visual and Physical Inc. for a series of workshops that explore the creative world of puppetry.

Scott will lead a series of two-hour masterclasses for young puppeteers in school years 1–9, with a focus on puppeteering in performance.

And over two weekends, he will lead Creative Laboratories for emerging artists aged 16–25, which will dive deep into the holistic creative process of puppetry – from making the puppets, to constructing the stories they tell, culminating in a performance for invited guests.

This is a rare opportunity to work with a master puppeteer and a range of beautiful, unique creatures brought to life through your hands and imagination.
