Overview

To show support for the United Nations' (UN) 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the façade of Parliament House will be illuminated in orange on Tuesday 25 November. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.

The campaign launches on 25 November – the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It calls on people to wear the colour orange and take action to end violence against women and girls.

You can find more information on the UN Women website.
