Overview

Enjoy Baroque music from Bohemia where the excellent education system resulted in an exceptionally musically cultured society. Charles Burney considered Bohemians "perhaps the most musical race in all Europe" (1773), citing as an example the coronation of Charles VI as King in Prague which included a performance by 200 musicians and 100 voices: "History does not furnish a more glorious event for music".
