Battle of the Big Bands
Overview
For the third year in a row ConneXion and Blamey Street Big Bands will provide the music for the Canberra Swing Katz Christmas Ball. This double big band event in the famous Savoy Ballroom style of yesteryear is for swing dancers and big band aficionados alike. It has become a fixture in the Canberra swing dance/lindyhop scene. ConneXion is directed by Aaron Michael and will be fronted by Annaliesa Rose and Tony Haley, while the well known Leisa Keen will sing for Blamey Street, directed on this occasion by the well respected Ian McLean.
