Overview

With Australia's time zone meeting the new year earlier than the Americas, Europe, Africa and much of Asia, the Royal Australian Mint Makes the First Coin of the Year every 1 January.

You can be the proud owner of the world's first 2026 minted coin.

Join them again on the first morning of the New Year for a free ticket to purchase the Mint's first coin minted for 2026.

Ticket allocation 7am - 8am
First ticket drawn at 8:15am. Tickets 2 -100 drawn immediately after first ticket.
