Canberra Traditional BoatFest 2026

Overview

A celebration of traditional boats, their history, construction, maintenance and use. Traditional boats include historic vessels and modern replicas of older types. They are usually built in timber, and can include propulsion by steam, electric or petrol motors, or sail and oars.

The event will be a display of traditional boats at Canberra Yacht Club. This display is part of the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival. The boats can be seen on Lake Burley Griffin on Saturday morning and Sunday morning, especially in Kingston Harbour.

There is no cost to view the boats in the display.
