Good Neighbour

Overview
Exhibition featuring Estelle Briedis, Hugo Curtis, Jacky Lo, Isobel Rayson and Dan Venables.
Presented at the SLA Display Village and Innovation Precinct, Whitlam.
A printmaker, a glass blower, a ceramist, a mark maker and a knifemaker come together in Good Neighbour, a group exhibition celebrating local makers and the quiet creative lives unfolding around them.
These five artists live and work in the neighbourhood as people you may recognise as a familiar dog-walker, a regular at the corner café, or simply a "good neighbour". Through functional objects and considered craftsmanship, the exhibition presents works that feel personal and lived-with, as though gathered over time from friends and neighbours.
Good Neighbour connects objects to the people who made them, foregrounding stories of process, skill and care embedded in everyday making. The exhibition reflects how creative communities often share knowledge, labour and generosity, slowly building collections within your homes that carry meaning through use.
The artworks in this exhibition are made to be held, used, lived with, and proudly shared with others. In owning any one of these objects, you would be proud to say "my neighbour made this."
