Art and Action

Overview

Tuggeranong Arts Centre's Art and Action returns these April school holidays! Following a sold-out session last summer, this exciting program gives children the chance to unleash their creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

Guided by a team of professional artists, musicians, dancers and actors, the one-day Art and Action program is an action-packed visual and performing arts experience bursting with creative joy.

The day begins with theatre sports and lively drama games to get everyone warmed up and having fun. Participants will then break into smaller groups based on age to explore a range of creative activities.

Students will take part in hands-on art classes, painting on canvas and creating their own masterpieces to take home at the end of the day. Fresh Funk dance tutors will also introduce participants to Street Funk, giving young people the chance to learn an exciting dance routine while exploring this energetic and popular style.

After lunch, both age groups will come back together for a fun, high-energy music-making session to round out the day.
