The Colonel and the Bubbles

This event is presented by the Wonderful World Festival.
The Colonel of vintage soul, dirty funk and twisted disco is commanding the Big Bubble Blowout.
This is when you all pop together. Bubble stations will fill Glebe Park, make your own wand, mix your own potion and wave a rainbow of bubbles throughout the crowd. The Colonel and his dancers start straight after the bubble show, filling the park with mountains of pop-tacular delights.
Since first appearing in Australia in 2006 until it folded in 2023, Waylon P. Flawstane – or as he's widely known, 'The Colonel' – hosted and was house DJ at The Tackleshack, the secret VVIP venue at the Splendour In The Grass festival. This artists only 'off the map' mythical juke joint is a place of legendary wild and loose times with a soundtrack to fit.
Recommended for ages 2-112.

10 Apr 2026- Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
