Gramophone Man

This event is presented by the Wonderful World Festival.
Grand DJing, grandparent-style.
Gramophone Man utilises the world's only 'steam powered' mobile Gramophone DJ Cart to play original shellac 78 RPM records from the 1920's 30's and 40's.
Combine this with suave patter, dapper attire and some unfeasible and ill-advised dance moves and you have street theatre of the highest order. Expect to hear crazy boogie woogie, swing jazz, calypso, novelty yodelling tunes and some real stinkers you wish you had never heard.
He's spinning metal records at the Glebe Park Stage around the bubble stations.
Recommended for ages 2-112.
Dates
11 Apr 2026- Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
