Overview

Join us for a relaxed ceramics workshop where you'll learn hand‑building techniques to create your own functional matcha pouring bowl, along with a tea bowl and a miniature matcha bowl charm to take home as a keepsake.

Guided step‑by‑step by the wonderful team from The Ceramic Studio, this workshop is for matcha lovers and curious makers alike.

All materials, tools and firing are included — just bring your curiosity and we will ensure you have a wonderful experience as part of the limited Canberra Made workshop series at the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre.

What you'll create:

A hand‑built ceramic matcha pouring bowl - designed with both form and function in mind, perfect for whisking and pouring.

A small handmade tea cup to complete your matcha set.

A mini matcha bowl charm - finished as a charming keyring or keepsake — a playful extra that makes this workshop special.

Your pieces will be professionally fired and ready for collection from the Visitors Centre or The Ceramic Studio in Mitchell, once complete (approx. 2 weeks).

Did you know?

On the subject of matcha, the very much loved Teddy's Matcha will be doing a special pop-up at the Canberra & Region Visitors Centre on Saturday May 30th from 9am to 12pm.

Pop it in your calendar and come grab a matcha for your lake walk ❣️
