Ink Drawing Workshop

Overview

Join the Hands On Studio artists for an afternoon of ink drawing, open conversation, and a cup of tea within their current exhibition, 'Water' on display at Canberra Contemporary. Attendees are invited to take part in an artist-led workshop inspired by the extended mural at the entrance to 'Water.' The mural was collaboratively designed and painted in situ by the Hands On Studio artists, comprising layered, textured, and playful stories and scenes.

Following an interactive walkthrough of the exhibition, attendees are invited to sketch their personal experiences and associations with water, drawing inspiration from the surrounding works and practices of the Hands On Studio artists. The workshop encourages conversation and creative exchange throughout the afternoon, reflecting the collaborative approach of the mural and the artists themselves.
