Overview

As society strives for progress and abundance, the work questions whether what already exists is being overlooked, and whether there is true understanding of what is being created. The natural and constructed worlds are positioned in opposition, as a growing junkyard expands beyond sight and control. Humans and animals carve out fragile pockets of survival within the ever-lengthening shadow of this accumulation—what is deliberately ignored, yet refuses to vanish. Ghosts linger, panic builds, and the exhibition invites viewers to consider whether the trajectory has already slipped beyond human control.

Put on your hard hats – it's sure to be a wild ride.

'junkyard' will open alongside 'The Quiet Between' by participating M16 Artspace studio artists, and 'Blockwork' by Fiona Little.
