Overview

Ten Part Invention marks forty years since its formation by the legendary John Pochée OAM with the launch of Time Is Moved, their new album on ABC Jazz.

Ten voices. One stage. Co-Musical Directors Miroslav Bukovsky and Sandy Evans lead a band of the country's most decorated improvisers: Paul Cutlan, Andrew Robson, Matthew Ottignon, Warwick Alder, James Greening, Steve Elphick, Kevin Hunt, and Rease Cameron.

Collectively, they represent decades of ARIA wins, international festival appearances, and some of the most significant bodies of work in Australian jazz. Through an ever-evolving lineup, Ten Part Invention carries forward the legacy of the late John Pochée OAM and past members including Roger Frampton, Bernie McGann, Ken James, Bob Bertles and Paul McNamara- performing exclusively the works of Australian composers.
