Overview
This winter, rug up as the Arboretum comes alive with firelight, food and forest adventure during Winter in the Woods. Connect with Culture through a selection of First Nations workshops woven throughout the program.
Join Wiradjuri man Adam Shipp from Yurbay for an interactive introduction to Aboriginal plant use, including foods, medicines, and other uses. Sample bush foods, bush teas, and bush medicines.
Learn to deliver an Acknowledgment to Country in the language of the traditional inhabitants of the ACT and surrounds, the Ngunnawal language, with Thunderstone First Nations instructors.
This winter, learn from ancient knowledge and gain hands-on insight into traditional practices, while building an understanding and connection to the world's oldest continuous living culture.
