Blues That Swings! Key Grip - "It's Gotta Swing".

Key Grip has been among Canberra's leading bluesicians now for 20 years since bandleader Leo Joseph returned from living in the US.

They draw on a range of influences from blues stalwarts like Percy Mayfield and B. B. King through to the soul, gospel and blues of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs and others, along with a few original tunes.

Angela Lount is out front leading the vocals, Lauren Thurlow plays gravity-defying solos on the tenor sax, the rhythm section of Alec Coulson on bass and Mitch Preston on drums hold it all down and Leo likes to add some colour on the keys.
