Overview

Being BOLD presents a triple bill of live dance and film featuring Australian dance artists Anca Frankenhaeuser, Patrick Harding-Irmer, Chrissie Koltai and Sue Healey, exploring longevity, artistry and lives shaped by dance.

I Thought You Were Dead But Here We Are is a live dance theatre performance by Still Breathing – Anca Frankenhaeuser, Patrick Harding-Irmer and Chrissie Koltai – drawing on the history held within their bodies and their decades of experience as dance artists.

The program also features two films by Sue Healey. Angels, My Angels, My Glorious Angels, choreographed and performed by Anca Frankenhaeuser, reflects on seven women who are no longer here and one special man. The Cry of the Whistler tells the story of Jane Mortiss, a dancer, artist, naturalist and farmer, and explores her final work and her experiences with mental illness.

Content note: This film explores themes of suicide, mental illness and incarceration. Some content may be distressing or challenging for viewers.
