Events ACT Disability Inclusion Plan 2025 - 28

Events ACT is committed to creating events that are accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone. The Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–28 supports the ACT Disability Strategy 2024–2033 and sets out actions to improve accessibility and inclusion across events, communications, and workplace practices.

Developed through accessibility audits, consultation with people with disability, advice from the ACT Office for Disability, and engagement with disability organisations and stakeholders, the Plan identifies barriers to participation and opportunities for improvement.

The Plan focuses on four key areas:

Accessible information
Accessible event environments
Positive attitudes and behaviours
Access and connectivity

These actions aim to remove barriers and create more inclusive experiences for people with disability who attend, work at, or contribute to Events ACT events. Events ACT will continue to work with people with disability, share good practice across the sector, and build accessibility capability within Canberra's events industry.
