Ngunna Dhaara

Overview

Ngunna Dhaara celebrates Richie's deep spiritual connection to Ngunnawal Country. These paintings are the journeys he has taken across Country, the places he has immersed himself, the feelings experienced, age old dreaming stories and his inherent need to share these stories through his love of painting.

He works predominantly in acrylic and on occasion uses ochre and plants as his mark making tools.

Richie wants to encourage people to view his work and then take the time to go to these places and experience the power and learn more about Ngunnawal Country for themselves.

Painting for Richie becomes another means of storytelling and how he enjoys sharing his personal journeys on Country. They provide new perspectives for viewing the land he so loves, Ngunna Dhaara.
