Overview

Subscribed is the name and theme of the 2026 Craft + Design Canberra Annual Members Exhibition. From trends and traditions to tools, techniques and social currents, creative lives are shaped by influence. Sometimes it is inherited. Sometimes it is resisted. Sometimes it is quietly reinvented.

This year, the Craft + Design Canberra Annual Members Exhibition invites its community of artists and makers to explore the idea of following. What guides the hand, habits and decisions of a maker? What is held onto, and what is left behind?

Featuring contemporary craft and design from across the ACT and surrounding region, the exhibition brings together diverse practices that blend time-honoured techniques with fresh ideas and experimental approaches. Together, the exhibition offers a snapshot of contemporary making that is thoughtful, playful and at times quietly subversive.
